Alpha #1 Testosterone Booster Holding Bottle

Testosterone is considered by doctors to be the king hormone for men! Testosterone levels affect male sex drive, sperm production, muscle mass, hair line and can even mess with cognitive abilities of the male brain. There are many ways to boost testosterone such as diet, applying a strict workout program and even TRT or HRT from a medical professional to name a few.

In this post though, we are going to discuss the application of T booster supplements. Not only do we want to discuss what they are, but we want to do a deep dive into what ingredients to look for. We want you to be sure you chose the best product that delivers the most bang for its buck!

Before we get started, we here at Endeavor are not doctors by any means but being that we are gym enthusiast’s and pro physique competitors, testosterone is a common topic that we deal with daily. If you do feel like you have a testosterone issue, be sure to consult with your personal doctor beforehand.

What exactly is testosterone?

By its definition, testosterone is a steroid hormone that stimulates sexual characteristics produced in the male testes and adrenal cortex but is also produced in female ovaries in much smaller doses that is.

Testosterone starts to increase during puberty and begins to decline as much as 1% per year after the age of 30 according to the Mayo Clinic and many other scientific studies claim up to 1.6% per year. So, its extremely safe to say after the age of 30 you just aren’t exactly who you where at the age of 18.

What is considered low testosterone?

Being that mostly men are interested in their testosterone levels the normal male ranges from low to high are between 280 and 1,100 nanograms per deciliter (ng/dL). Your levels can be found by doing a simple fasted blood test with your primary doctor.

What causes low testosterone?

As stated before, test levels are at their highest during those deep to suddenly squeaky voiced, pimply faced teenage years! Therefore, teenage boys begin to have increased facial hair, fuller muscles, higher sex drive, increased bone growth and that everlasting energy we all wish we could have for a lifetime as they begin their transition into full grown MACHO MEN LOL!

After the age of 30 the drop off begins and the one of the most common documented reasons is due to the pituitary gland and hypothalamus as that part of the brain struggles to produce luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH).  This is the beginning of weight gain, lower sex drive and the decrease of fuller muscles. More than 33% of men over 45 may have lower than normal testosterone levels.

How can testosterone boosting supplements raise your low T?

To be totally honest, there are many ways to boost your test levels. As mentioned before, you can lift heavy shit more consistently at the gym, which we do obviously recommend! You can clean up your eating habits while working out more, again something we also do recommend! You may even choose to go through Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) if your doctor recommends it and you qualify after blood testing. The problem with TRT and HRT is that it is a lifetime commitment and can be very costly! We would recommend trying the first two recommendations and simply add a natural T-booster! Choosing the right supplement is crucial though! First and foremost, you don’t want to harm your body with garbage ingredients. Secondly, proper dosing of the proper ingredients is extremely important. Finally, and in correlation with the first two, you may also find yourself wasting your money on that junky product.

What to look for in T- Boosters?

Vitamin D3

Found in the natural rays from the sun D3 helps with more that 1,000 functions of the body! It’s a bioidentical hormone for testosterone and studies have found it to increase testosterone 400% over the span of 1 year with daily consumption. Vitamin D also increases bone density!

Zinc

Zinc not only increases testosterone in the male body but is a crucial ingredient in metabolizing nutrients. Zinc also aids in protein synthesis, immune function, cellular division, boosts immunity and supports healthy blood supply. Its very easy to go deficient in zinc as you will lose it while you sweat. Having it in a high quality supplement along with a balanced diet will make all of the difference!

D- Aspartic Acid

A combination of two amino acids: aspartic acid and L-aspartate. Within the neuroendocrine tissues D-AA carries out important physiological functions. During these functions D-AA can increase a release of hormones such as luteinizing hormone, follicle-stimulating hormone, and growth hormone in the brain causing testosterone to elevate as much as 40%!

Black pepper Extract BioPerine

If there is one ingredient that is a MUST, we at Endeavor lean on black pepper extract! The active ingredient in black pepper, aka BioPerine (trademarked name) has been touted throughout history to be of huge benefit to one's health. BioPerine has a high zinc (ZN) content and contains magnesium (MG) in very high concentrations. This bad boy SIGNIFICANTLY increases free testosterone levels in strength trained athletes like no other! It also increases nutrient absorption by increasing your metabolism through thermogenesis. Last but not least it helps raise dopamine and serotonin, improve memory, improve immune response and mental skills!
